  • How do I pair the EMV bluetooth swiper with my Smartphone?

    Download IOS iTransact Mobile Merchant Application

    iOS
    -Ensure the card reader is fully charged (the blue status light should be flashing)
    -Turn on the device by pressing the power button/key
    -Open App and proceed to Completing Sales Process Instructions below.

    Download ANDROID iTransact Mobile Merchant Application

    ANDROID
    -Ensure the card reader is fully charged (the blue status light should be flashing)
    -Turn on the device by pressing the power button/key
    -Open Bluetooth settings on your Android device
    -Pair with EMV Reader (serial number should appear, found on bottom of EMV reader)
    -Open App and proceed to Completing Sales Process Instructions below.

  • How do I complete the sales process with the EMV bluetooth swiper?

    - Enter Transaction Amount
    - Tap Start
    - Swipe or Insert Card
    - Obtain Customer Signature
    - Tap Email
    - Enter your customers Email
    - Click send receipt

  • How do I void a sale?

    - Click the History icon (It looks like a clock)
    - Tap on the transaction you wish to void
    - Click the red refund button
    - You should see a success message
    - Click OK

    3.5mm Headphone Mobile Device

    Make sure you are using the most up to date software

    iOS

    - Launch settings
    - Tap on General
    - Tap on Software Update
    - Tap on Download and Install
    - Enter Passcode (if prompted)
    - Agree to Terms and Conditions

    ANDROID

    - Open Apps
    - Tap on Settings
    - Tap on About Phone or About Tablet
    - Click on Software Update (This can vary from device to device, look for something similar)
    - Click Install Now

    Ensure your microphone allows the iTransact Mobile App to have control. (iOS only)

    - Launch settings
    - Tap on Privacy
    - Tap on Microphone
    - Make sure the toggle next to iTransact is green

    Ensure all other apps are up to date (Android only)

    - Open the Google Play Store
    - Tap on the three horizontal lines in the left corner
    - Tap on My Apps and Games
    - Click Update All

    Ensure you have a stable internet connection

    - The app works best over a Wi-Fi connection but will also work with a 4G connection.

    If you receive Calibrating Device error try all the above steps. If you are still getting the error try these two additional steps:

    - Uninstall and reinstall the iTransact app
    - Reboot your phone

    Additional Tips

    - If the reader wobbles while you’re swiping, the app reads the movement as a signal and tries to run a transaction before the swipe is complete. If you lay your phone on a desk and/or hold the swiper steady for the entire swipe, you’ll avoid this error.

    - Sometimes unrelated apps “talk to each other” so not having ALL your apps updated may cause swipes to fail.

    - If the app crashes during use, there may be a problem with the XML settings in the gateway, please call support for help with this issue.

    - On Android make sure to check the correct volume setting; the “Media” volume must be all the way up and not just the “Ringtone”.
